Dark and inky purple in the glass, the wine throws vibrant aromas of violets and plum. On the palate the firm tannins support a fruit core of black cherry with blueberries, more subtle notes of Indian ink, oak shavings and blueberry pie compliment the depth and complexity of this wine. Good acidity keep the vibrancy of the fruit which evolves through to secondary characteristics of aged leather and musk.

Winemaker Notes
Hand picked and delivered to the winery in the early morning, the clusters are then sorted and 100% destemmed. The must was pumped to tank for 4 days cold soak followed by a relatively warm fermentation. Once fermentation is complete the must is pressed and allowed to complete malolactic fermentation in barrel. The wine is gently filtered before bottling.
